iPhone 14 Lineup Coming Soon in the Apple September Event 2022
My hopes and wishes for the iPhone 14 lineup in the upcoming “Far Out” Apple Event on the 7th September, 2022.
Every year I always look forward to watching the annual Apple Keynote event cause let’s face it, the transitions during the presentation are just so cinematic and very enticing to look at. This year it’s different because it’s finally time for me to consider upgrading from my iPhone XS Max due to the slow processor speed and most important the huge camera upgrade I am missing out on.
I’ve been keeping up with the rumours based on the design and features the new iPhone 14 Pro would be getting soon. Listed below are the ones that I am excited to see released on the “Far Out” Apple Event.
A16 BIONIC CHIP
Using the iPhone XS Max for almost 3 years, I can see the processor getting slower and slower each year as new updates are releasing. Upgrading this year, I would definitely be seeing the major difference in the processor speed when editing photos or playing games, especially, when I am coming from the A12 Bionic chip.
NEW HOLE PUNCH DESIGN
I am not that hyped up on the new Hole-Punch design, but it wouldn’t hurt to see a design change from the notch. I am still using the XS Max, so there’s still that gigantic notch at the top of the screen compared to the iPhone 13 lineup. Honestly, when I first got the XS Max, there were a lot of controversy on the whole Notch thing, but it just didn’t bother me. Over the time, I got use to it, and I know I will if the new lineup this year receives this new design.
120hz PRO-MOTION DISPLAY
This particular rumour has been going around for a while, and I will be stoked if it happens this year. The 120hz Pro-Motion display is definitely going to make my eyes smile. With the upgraded display, this means there’s a possibility for the Always-On display feature. I would really love to see this happen, for sure.
CAMERA UPGRADES: 12MP — 48MP
The main reason I buy the Pro Models of iPhones is specifically for the remarkable camera system. There’s nothing that entice me more apart from the camera. If there’s really a significant upgrade from 12MP to 48MP; I am undoubtedly going to lose my mind. Just think about the pictures you’re going to get with that beast of a camera system.
I try to keep my expectations low each year for the Apple Event because I always get bummed out when nothing on my list got released. My motto for Apple Events is, “Low Expectations means Higher Excitement”. I heard there’s going to be more rumoured stuff coming in the event, like, Apple Watch Series 8 along with a Pro Model, AirPods Pro 2nd Gen and a HomePod Redesign. These aren’t really exciting for me, cause lately I got the latest of these products, so I won’t be excited to upgrade.
The iPhone 14 Pro alone is going to drain my wallet with it’s rumoured price increase due to the supply chain issues. It would be great if they dropped the 128 GB for the Pro Models, cause if you’re a power user then definitely you would go for the 256 GB.
